Heart-spotting Contest Entry

Tatiana L. spotted these incredible heart-shaped tire tracks in Calgary’s winter wonderland. Amazing!

I had just parked in the lot of a seniors’ home where I volunteer and realized that these tire tracks in front of me looked exactly like hearts. I got quite excited about this one and had to send it your way!

(Here’s Tatiana’s original photo followed by a 180 degree flip to really show off the hearts…)

‘Tis always the season for heart-spotting, though as Ingrid L. will attest, heart shapes become a tad more ubiquitous during the lead-up to December 25:

My daughters and I made a trip down the Rubaiyat Gallery yesterday to catch a glimpse of their holiday magic. And magic is was! The store shone with beautiful white Christmas trees adorned with fabulous colorful ornaments. Just walking through the store put a smile on our faces. But it was the glass hearts that caught my attention, especially the ones tucked away in a slightly open drawer. As you can see, they are lovely.

I recently found this heart-shaped treasure while rummaging through some boxes that had spent a year in storage.

If only creative inspiration came in a box. I’d buy it by the pallet!

Here’s a decoration we’ve had on our door for many years, and it was only recently that a visiting heart-spotter commented on its shape. Sometimes these things just blend into the familiar and become part of the scenery.

The lingering chill of mid-November has Sarah L. daydreaming about her favorite sun-soaked oasis.…

Hearts in my favorite garden. Not mine but my friend Amy’s. It’s full of gorgeous color, shapes, textures and a few hearts.
