Heart-spotting Contest Entry

From fellow Vancouver Islander Tony B.:

Here is a shot of a very old heart on a large log at Stephenson Point in Nanaimo.

I, for one, wonder if AS + SF are still an item…

As we close the books on 2012 and ready ourselves for another year to come, the simple words in this timely submission from Darren L. are well worth bearing in mind:

Learn from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow.

With heartfelt wishes for a joyful, heart-full 2013,

Stephen

My niece Janine and her partner posted this photo from Kafka’s Coffee & Tea in Vancouver, where they took a moment to snuggle and write in their journals while enjoying their vanilla lattes.

Tatiana L. spotted these incredible heart-shaped tire tracks in Calgary’s winter wonderland. Amazing!

I had just parked in the lot of a seniors’ home where I volunteer and realized that these tire tracks in front of me looked exactly like hearts. I got quite excited about this one and had to send it your way!

(Here’s Tatiana’s original photo followed by a 180 degree flip to really show off the hearts…)

Hearts and bikes…my two obsessions! Thanks to Ingrid L. for this one:

I came across this photo last week in a store and knew it needed to be hanging in my family room! It now is, and it makes me smile every time I walk past. The title is “Love Bike” and I love it! It would be perfect for you as well, Mr. Cyclist.

With a heartfelt “glædelig jul,” Darren L. shares a little Scandinavian holiday spirit:

All my life, our family has celebrated Christmas with old Danish traditions. With both sets of grandparents having emigrated from the old country, there was always plenty of seasonal Danish food, drink and decorations around. One classic Danish tree ornament is the paper heart, pictured here.

Heart-spotting Contest Entry

Sarah L. is a heart-spotter from way back when. Well, a few months ago, anyway:

Seeing Ingrid L.’s submission of holiday hearts on sale at Calgary’s Rubaiyat Gallery reminded me of these very similar sparkly hearts that were for sale at Heritage Park last summer (also in Calgary). While on holiday there, I spent a long time looking at these trying to decide if I needed more ‘stuff’. I passed on them but took this photo instead.
