All my life, our family has celebrated Christmas with old Danish traditions. With both sets of grandparents having emigrated from the old country, there was always plenty of seasonal Danish food, drink and decorations around. One classic Danish tree ornament is the paper heart, pictured here.

Heart-spotting Contest Entry
‘Tis always the season for heart-spotting, though as Ingrid L. will attest, heart shapes become a tad more ubiquitous during the lead-up to December 25:
My daughters and I made a trip down the Rubaiyat Gallery yesterday to catch a glimpse of their holiday magic. And magic is was! The store shone with beautiful white Christmas trees adorned with fabulous colorful ornaments. Just walking through the store put a smile on our faces. But it was the glass hearts that caught my attention, especially the ones tucked away in a slightly open drawer. As you can see, they are lovely.
